Box Score The Master's women's volleyball team fell behind early and could never recover, losing to OUAZ in three sets 20-25, 20-25, 17-25 in Surprise, Ariz.
The Lady Mustangs had a 3-2 lead in the first set, only to see the Spirit take the next three points and never look back. TMU's only other lead in the match came in the third set when they once again got up 3-2, only to see the Spirit take control to win the final set by eight.
TMU fell behind in kills (28-46), hitting percentage (.085-.250) and total blocks (3-4). But the serve continued to be strong with a 6-4 advantage in service aces.
Faith Tarver led the team with 10 kills followed by
Breanna Brooks with six.
McKenna Brady had a team-high two blocks,
Sierra Hale collected 15 digs and had a team-high three aces, and
Timberlie Miller finished with 19 assists.
The Master's have less than 24 hours to regroup as they will face Arizona Christian Saturday in Glendale, Ariz. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
