TMU Baseball only mustered a single run in game one of Friday's doubleheader at Menlo College, but the Mustang bats woke up in game two, evening the Golden State Athletic Conference series.

After Master's lost 2-1 in the first game, TMU dominated the second game by a 13-2 margin.

Nelson Schutte gave a solid outing on the mound for the Mustangs in game one, pitching six innings while giving up just two runs (one earned), but he didn't receive much of any run support.

That changed in the second game, when TMU's offense backed another strong outing from a Mustang starter, with
Zachary Filos earning the victory after pitching six innings of two-run ball and striking out seven.

Master's took a 2-0 lead in the top of the third of game two, before breaking the game open with six runs in the top of the fourth. After Menlo scored twice in the bottom half, TMU added three more runs in the top of the fifth, making it three-straight innings of multiple runs scored for the Mustangs.

Evan Banks went 3-for-5 with three runs scored, a home run and four RBIs.
Cason Brownell also recorded three hits, batting a perfect 3-for-3, while scoring a run and tallying three RBIs.

TMU (14-9 overall, 4-6 GSAC) and Menlo will conclude their four-game series on Saturday, with a doubleheader scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
