Ruby Duncan stepped up with 14 kills, Faith Tarver had 11 and Breanna Brooks added eight kills and came up with seven big blocks as Master's defeated Menlo in four sets Saturday.
The Lady Mustangs season ain't over!
"Bre Brooks had a fabulous night," said Master's Head Coach Annett Davis. "She was due for a great match and contributed hitting, on defense both blocking and digging, and even added three aces."
As a team Master's had 49 kills to the Oaks 46, 12 blocks to their seven and 10 aces to their seven. Defensively the Lady Mustangs limited Menlo to a .118 hitting percentage.
"Ruby Duncan had a super night hitting for us and kept us going strong on the passing front," Davis said. "Overall we play as a unit. Supporting, encouraging, and fighting with and for each other. We are very thankful."
Master's gets into the GSAC Tournament as the No. 6 seed and will travel to Surprise, Ariz. Thursday to take on No. 3 Vanguard. OUAZ is hosting the entire tournament at Faith Arena. The Lady Mustangs quarter-final match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
