After a tough loss on Friday night to begin Golden State Athletic Conference play, TMU Women's Volleyball came out strong on Saturday and never looked back, as the Mustangs swept visiting Hope International 25-12, 25-12, 25-15 inside The MacArthur Center.

"The girls played as a unit tonight," Master's Head Coach
Annett Davis said. "Each one gave their all and it showed."

After the Royals scored the first point of the match, the Mustangs never trailed at any point in any set from there on out as they went on to win each set by double digits.

In the first two sets, TMU led by as many as 13 points, its margin of victory in each set. Then in the third and final set, Master's took as much as an 11-point advantage, before winning by 10 points to close out the match.

"I'm most proud of our level of intensity and consistency," Davis said. "We played tough and didn't let off the gas."

The Mustangs had their most-efficient offensive performance of the season, recording an attacking % of .378, while holding the Royals to .013 hitting.

Ruby Duncan led TMU in three categories, tallying nine kills, four blocks and three service aces.
Emily Scott was right behind with eight kills, while tying Duncan with four blocks.

Natalie Collins dished out 28 assists to go along with her seven digs, which tied for the team lead with
Karli Stults.
Emilye Grace Williams also had a nice all-around match with her seven kills and six digs.

TMU (5-7 overall, 1-1 GSAC) will now hit the road for its next three conference matches, beginning with next week's trip to Arizona to take on OUAZ and Arizona Christian on Friday and Saturday.
