Box Score The Master's University men's basketball team remained unbeaten after a 71-66 win over Benedictine University Mesa on Monday in Mesa, Ariz.
Johnny McWilliams scored 23 points to pace the No. 12-ranked Mustangs, who improved to 7-0 for the second time in as many seasons. TMU started the 2019-2020 campaign with 11 consecutive wins.
Jordan Starr added 12 points on Monday, and Kaleb Lowery neared a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds. Davian Brown and Gavin DeJong each contributed eight points during what will be the first of a two-game swing through Arizona.

McWilliams has shown a knack for putting the ball in the basket this season. The senior transfer from Fresno State scored a season-high 34 points in a win over SAGU American Indian on Dec. 8. He made seven 3-pointers in that game.
Monday, the 6-foot-6 wing knocked down four treys in 10 attempts on the way to making 8-of-19 shots overall.
This was TMU's second close win over Benedictine Mesa this season. The Mustangs beat the Redhawks 78-70 on Dec. 11.
