Box Score The Master's University men's basketball team began a brisk three-game swing through Arizona with a victory at SAGU American Indian College in Phoenix on Tuesday evening.
The No. 19-ranked Mustangs won 97-86 win to improve to 3-0 on the year.
Johnny McWilliams, a graduate transfer from Fresno State, had his best game as a Mustang, scoring a game-high 37 points on 8-of-12 shooting from behind the arc.
Jordan Starr added 16 points, nine rebounds and six assists for the Mustangs, who will play SAGU again Wednesday in Phoenix at 5 p.m. PST before shuttling to Glendale for a matchup with Benedictine Mesa on Friday (2 p.m. PST).
Jason Crandall, Davian Brown and Thomas Lowery all played crucial roles in helping Master's overcome what had been a 47-43 halftime deficit. It marked the first time TMU trailed at intermission this season.
