Davis enters her second season as TMU's Indoor Women's Volleyball head coach in 2021, after leading the Mustangs to a GSAC East Division title and a berth in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round during her first season.
She also enters her third year as the school's head beach volleyball coach in 2022.
In 2020-21, she coached the indoor program's first-ever GSAC Player of the Year and NAIA First Team All-American (Katie Emmerling) and the beach volleyball team's first-ever GSAC Pair of the Year (Katie Emmerling, Desi Brown).
She spent two seasons as an assistant coach with TMU's indoor women's team, helping the Mustangs win their first-ever GSAC regular season and tournament titles in 2018.
An athlete whose accomplishments span the college, professional and Olympic ranks, Davis was inducted into the UCLA Hall of Fame in 2015.
While a Bruin, she was named the Pac 10 Freshman of the Year (1991) and Player of the Year (1994), helping lead her team to a national title in her first season.
The two-time, first-team All-American went on to play professionally in Greece before earning a spot on the USA Olympic Team.
At the 2000 games in Sydney, Davis and her playing partner became the first African Americans to make the U.S. Olympic beach volleyball team (they placed fifth).
Davis is married to former TMU Swimming & Diving Head Coach Byron Davis. They have a son Mya and a daughter Victoria.
